We have been overwhelmed by the number of great applicants eager to open their homes and hearts to a kitty or two. With the high volume of applicants and limited staffing, we appreciate everyone’s patience as we try to keep up with the current demand for adoptions.

LILY

STATUS: APPLICATIONS OPEN

Female, 1 year

Adoption Fee: $360+PST

Lily is a very cute, petite cat. Her ears are as big as her personality. She has beautiful markings and the sweetest little face. Lily was created small but fierce. She will go toe to toe with the biggest dogs and the spiciest cats. She is fierce and cuddly and such a force to be reckoned with. Lily prefers to be cuddled up right beside you in bed or on the couch. She loves laying on a sunny window sill and getting head scratches. Lily plays nicely with kids. Lily would do best in a household with kids or adults who want a lot of attention from their cat. Lily is a cute, sweet little soul who wants desperately to love and be loved in return. If you are looking for a forever best friend, Lily is your girl!

HERO & FLUFFY

STATUS: APPLICATIONS OPEN

Male, 10 months

Adoption Fee: $720+PST

Hero and Fluffy are a sweet pair of bonded brothers. They can be very shy at first when getting used to new people and new surroundings. Once they have settled in and feel safe, they are curious and love to play with toys! They are food motivated, love treats, but are hesitant to be pet and take their time to warm up. They are good with both dogs and cats.

PEPSI

Pepsi is looking for her forever lap! She loves head pets, belly rubs, and naps on her person's lap. In between naps, Pepsi enjoys a window to look out, and time to play. She loves to chase balls, race through the house, and hide in the play tunnel. Pepsi is always happy when her people are home - she will join you wherever you are, maybe to chat with you, or just supervise whatever you are doing. Pepsi is good with kids, and cats with proper introduction. She would love a home with someone who is looking for a cuddle companion!

RIVER & OCTOBER

River and October are a sweet pair of bonded sisters. River is a a wonderfully soft and fluffy cat whose gentle nature pairs perfectly with her playful spirit. Though initially timid, River's curious and social personality blossoms beautifully. She enjoys human companionship and brings joy through her playful antics, though she appreciates a patient approach when adapting to changes. River's sweet disposition and social nature with other cats make her an ideal companion for a home that can give her time to build confidence. October is a fluffy, confident sweetheart who loves human attention and never turns down a cuddle. Both girls are wonderful with other cats and cat-savvy kids, as shown by their friendship with their feline friends while in their foster home. October would need a slower introduction to any canine family members. These complementary personalities create a perfect balance – October's outgoing nature helps River feel secure, and together they're ready to share their love with a calm, forever home that understands the special bond between these two beautiful sisters.

LIGHTNING & THUNDER

Meet Lightning and Thunder! They are almost twins and you would barely be able to tell them apart! The only difference is that Thunder has 2 white whiskers and a tiny bit of white on his tummy amongst almost all black whereas Lightning has more white. Lightning LOVES to play and chase strings or basically anything that moves. He seeks adventure and is a very curious cat. He loves wrestling with his brother Thunder but also loves to sleep and cuddle with him. He has quite the purrsonality and it’s so fun to watch! He LOVED the bigger/energetic dog in his foster home who charged into their room wanting to sniff and play with them, and Lightning just came running over and rubbed all over him. Lightning tries to play with his tail and chase it. He definitely doesn’t seem to be afraid of anything or even nervous for that matter, so would do great in a home with a playful cat-savvy dog or cat. He’s a squirmy little thing so usually can’t be held onto for long. Now that he’s a bit older, he will sit in your arms for a bit and is a bit calmer but is definitely a cat that loves to play. Thunder is definitely an adventurous one and LOVES to play! He’ll play with his siblings, toys, blankets…pretty much anything. He loves to run around and he loves food! He and Lightning constantly switch their food plates and compete on who can finish their plate first! He loves to purr and loves his back scratches on his lower back by his tail. He raised his fur a bit when the big/energetic dog in his foster home approached him, but once the dog sniffed him, he would cautiously inspect the dog. He loved to play with the kids in his foster home. The boys would thrive in a home that wants an nice balance of adventurous/playful cats who loves to play with other cat-savvy cats and dogs, and also likes to sleep with you at night and love some affection.

ROSE

STATUS: APPLICATIONS OPEN

Rose was very shy when she first arrived at the rescue, but once she gets comfortable she's a very affectionate cat. She is vocal when she wants love or the food bowl gets low. Rose is also very playful. She loves playing with kids, and she loves playing with the Christmas tree balls. Rose got stuck in a chair when she was really small, and has a little scar around her neck that has since healed. She is here at Catfe with her sisters Ri and Runty, and would love to be adopted with them or to a home with another cat that she can cuddle and play with!

Usain (tabby) and Bolt (black) were shy and timid little ladies when they first arrived at the rescue, but have begun to blossom over time. Usain is very assertive and protective over her sister, as well as incredibly determined and playful. Bolt is a very shy little girl. She is much more timid than her outgoing sister, enjoying the finer things in life, like watching the neighborhood out the windows, and napping. She has little outbursts of playful energy and likes to follow her sister around the house, but finds more joy in watching the shenanigans, rather than being a part of it. The bonded sisters LOVE to chew on cardboard.

NIGELLA & QUINOA

STATUS: APPLICATIONS OPEN

Adoption Fee: $720+PST

Nigella and Quinoa are bonded sisters. Nigella is the fluffiest and was the smallest of her litter (their siblings Poppy and Chia are also here at Catfe!). Her love of food has her catching up to her other siblings and she is now flourishing. Nigella is a sweet and sensitive kitty but also has a fun side and likes to rough house with her siblings. Nigella is learning to enjoy pets and will even purr. She has come a long way and will benefit from continued love and attention so that her true sweet self can shine. Quinoa is a sleek black micro panther except for a distinguishable patch of white under her chin and on her belly. She is the protective big sister and will ensure her siblings are safe before she joins in on the fun. Once she relaxes, she really gets into playtime and cuddling with her siblings. Quinoa was a spicy girl but has come a long way. She will be a cuddly sweet girl in no time with just a wee bit more patience, love and attention.

CHIA & POPPY

Chia and Poppy are a bonded brother-sister duo. Chia is the only boy in the litter (their sisters Nigella and Quinoa are also here at Catfe!). He is also the most playful, bravest and laid back. He will have intense zoomy sessions but then go into full on chill mode. He is learning to enjoy tummy rubs and loves to explore new things and toys. This fun sweet guy will make a wonderful companion with lots of continued love and attention. Poppy is the bravest girl in her litter. She is an enthusiastic athlete who loves to play and cuddle with her siblings. Poppy enjoys being petted and will lean right in and start purring. She is blossoming into a fun and confident girl.

NADJA

STATUS: ADOPTION PENDING - INTERVIEW COMPLETE

Female, 2 years

Meet Nadja, a truly special kitty who has completely stolen her foster parents’ hearts and became their absolute favourite foster to date! While Nadja may start off a bit shy, don't let that fool you – once she feels comfortable, she transforms into the most affectionate cuddle bug you could imagine. Her favorite pastimes include rolling all over your chest/lap to receive cuddles and belly rubs. She will melt your heart with her adorably tiny tongue that occasionally peeks out! Nadja gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and children. She is playful, patient and she loves being close to her humans. She would thrive in a home with friends or as a solo cat. If you're looking to adopt multiple cats, Nadja would be love to find her forever home alongside October and River! Nadja is ready to fill your home with endless love, playful energy, and adorable cuddles!

MIN & PEEWEE

STATUS: ADOPTION PENDING - INTERVIEW SCHEDULED

Min (male, black and white) and Peewee (female, tabby) are sweet, loving, playful 5-year-old siblings who love attention, hanging out and naps. Min is in to lap cuddles, while Peewee loves snuggling under the covers in bed! They are alert and engaged, and love keeping an eye on birds and neighbourhood characters through windows. Peewee is the brains of the operation, while Min is more laid-back and silly. Both cats are quite shy at first, but at the same time are very friendly and very affectionate. New environments can make them anxious, so they are looking for a patient and kind family who can give them lots of attention. They will reward you with unlimited love and affection!

RI & RUNTY

STATUS: ADOPTION PENDING - INTERVIEW COMPLETE

Ri and Runty are a bonded pair of playful sisters. They are both very sweet and great with kids. Ri loves being wrapped in a blanket and cuddling. She's high energy but not very noisy. She loves to lick everyone. Runty likes to hide and jump out at you. She enjoys climbing and chasing. Full of zoomies and black cat energy. When wrapped in a blanket and held like a baby, and she purrs loudly. Be aware of your toes under the blanket - she will jump at them! The girls are here at Catfe with their sister Rose, and three would make a great trio for anyone looking to add three sweeties to their home!

AMELIA EARHART

STATUS: ADOPTION PENDING - INTERVIEW COMPLETE

Amelia Earhart absolutely loves cuddling up on a fuzzy blanket on her humans lap, and if there's loose threads, her inner baby will come out and she'll start suckling at it. She likes cardboard scratch pads, and being around people. She loves playing with string, and occasionally gets zoomies, but isn't a high energy cat so far despite being young. Miss Amelia Earhart earned her name when she was thrown off a balcony and got rescued in Manitoba. She fell in love with another young foster cat in her rescuer's home who helped her come out of her shell, so we know she can get along very well with some cats, and can coexist with others. She tolerated the two large dogs in her foster home, and she snuggled up to a smaller dog in a previous foster home! A cat-savvy dog pal would be best for her. We think Amelia would fit into almost any household type with time! Before coming to Catfe, she hasn't been tested with kids, but she's been a total lovebug with anyone she's met, and would love a new family who has lots of time to let her love on them and be the sweet baby she is.

JAZZY

STATUS: ADOPTION APPROVED

Jazzy is a high-energy, fun-loving cat who plays hard and sleeps harder. She’s a zoomie expert with endless endurance, obsessed with tunnels, lasers, and anything on a string. She’s also a total attention-seeker—vocal, always watching you work (or sitting on your work), and a pro at making herself comfy by kneading everything around her. When she’s not in play mode, she craves closeness, curling up against your neck and purring like crazy. Jazzy thrives with other cats and would be perfect for someone who loves both nonstop action and endless cuddles!

KIWI & POPPY #2

STATUS: ADOPTION APPROVED - GOING HOME MAR 7

Female, 9 months & 6 months

Kiwi and Poppy met at Catfe and quickly became a bonded pair of best buds! Kiwi is a playful and spirited kitten. Poppy is a sweet and spunky little girly pop who’s full of energy and loves to play. She’s a vocal lady who knows what she wants and will make sure you know it! Kiwi is a ball of energy who loves to play and explore all day long. She might come across as a bit feisty at first, but once she settles into her new environment, her sweet and affectionate side shines through. Kiwi adores sleeping or resting close to her humans, purring contentedly when you give her a good chin rub. While she’s full of love, she would appreciate it if you avoid petting her lower back (or risk a playful nibble!). Curiosity is her middle name, so make sure your meals and drinks are covered—she’s always eager to investigate! When she misses you or wants attention, she’ll let you know with the softest, most endearing little meows. Kiwi is looking for a forever home where she can play, explore, and snuggle with her bestie Poppy and her favourite humans.

CONAN & TAYTAY

STATUS: ADOPTION APPROVED - GOING HOME MAR 6

Conan and TayTay are the most gorgeous pair of sweet, cuddly, gentle, kind and warm fur-babies out there. Conan is an absolute distinguished gentleman, with his calm demeanour, beautiful handsome face, luscious mane of the softest fur, and warm personality. He is an absolute people’s cat, always with you wherever you are, protecting you with his gentle gaze and wise whiskers. At night, he comes to your bed and makes biscuits on your legs, giving you a long massage after a weary day. He’s just divine. Such a calm animal, never gets phased, never gets angry, never gets annoyed - just patient, doting, and devoted. He loves to be held in your arms and he adores his glossy fur being brushed in the evening whilst you lounge in front of the TV. A true delight. He loves to play leisurely here and there, batting at string toys and bunny kicking, before retreating to watch us with his wise and gentle gaze. TayTay is an absolute princess. The softest, sweetest, Bambi eyed little girl, she’s chatty with her little chirps and purrs, following you around like a sweet friend all day. She loves being carried around the house like a little baby, and being fussed over like the princess she is. She’s so gentle, never one to scratch or hiss or bite; she’s got the patience of a saint. Once or twice a day she gets the zoomies and loves it when you run after her, playing chase, and she adores the string toys. Every now and then she will tackle Conan and they play, though generally these two are like calm and loving friends, kind to each other and giving each other space. Sweet natured, beautiful, chatty, playful, and cuddly - what more could anyone wish for?

CHAI

STATUS: IN FOSTER - ADOPTION PENDING

Are you looking for a cuddly cat to sit on you while you watch tv or read a book? If so, Chai will be the purrfect companion for you. She is very sweet and will immediately greet any new visitors to your house. She knows how to use her litter box, and grazes on her dry food throughout the day. She loves to play either keeping herself amused with her toys or loves playing with her human and the wand toy. She gets on well with other cats but be careful as she wants to say hi and play straight away which can scare other kitties at first. Chai is very quiet and calm, and at night loves sleeping by your head to make sure you are safe and loves playing with feet under the duvet. Chai would love a home where she can be cuddled everyday and get lots of attention.

ADOPTION APPLICATION PROCESS: All the cats at Catfe are available for adoption. Each cat has been vet-checked, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed and treated for fleas. We are partnered with various rescues and shelters in BC to source our adoptable cats, and it is our goal to find responsible, loving homes for each and every one of them.

Each cat’s personality is unique. Due to the high volume of applicants and limited staffing, we are only able to process applications from visitors who have met the cat in person. If you fall in love during your visit and would like to apply to adopt a cat, the cat whisperer will provide you with an application form to fill out.

Please note: we are only able to contact the selected applicant for an interview. (It may take a week or so for us to get in touch — please check your junk mail.) If you are not contacted, you can check the cat’s status as it is updated on their profile during the process. Adoption approval is based on the best match for the cat’s needs, and not first-come-first-served.

ADOPTION PENDING: If it says “Adoption Pending” on a cat’s profile, it means we are currently conducting interviews with selected applicants. New applications will be placed on a back-up list for that cat and will only be considered if the adoption is not successful.
